The Full Itinerary:

Day 1 ~ Guatemala City (or Belize City) to Tikal
Take a first class bus to Tikal from either Guatemala City at 9:00 a.m or Belize City at 1:00 p.m. Both arrive in Flores at around 6:00 p.m.

First class bus

• On arrival in Flores you will be picked up by Hotel Peten staff at the bus station and taken to their hotel. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and hot tub.

Day 2 ~ Tikal
Tour Tikal

• am/pm After breakfast take a tour of Tikal with English/Spanish speaking guide.
• At 7:00 p.m. you will be transferred to the bus station in Flores and get an overnight bus at 9:00 p.m. to Guatemala City.

Day 3 ~ Antigua
Van pickup in Guatemala City then explore Antigua.

• am/pm Arrive in Guatemala City from Flores at 5:00 a.m. where you will be met by private transport and taken to Antigua you will spend the day in Antigua take a walking tour beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Central Park, taking in various ruins, and the Jade factory.
• Stay at Hotel San Jorge.

Day 4 ~ Chichicastenango
Go to the Chichicastenango market

• am After breakfast you will be picked up at 7:00 a.m. to go to see the famous Quiche Mayan market in Chichicastenango. You will arrive at 9.00 a.m. and have 5 hours of free time
• pm At 2:00 p.m. you will be taken to Panajachel and Hotel Jardines Del Lago on Lake Atitlan.

Day 5 ~ Lake Atitlan
Boat tour of Lake Atitlan. Visit three Mayan villages.

• am After breakfast you'll take boat to go on a lake tour starting at 9:00 a.m. visiting three Mayan villages – Santiago Atitlan, San Pedro la Laguna and San Antonio Palopo – around the lake.
• pm This returns mid afternoon to Panajachel and Hotel Jardines Del Lago.

Day 6 ~ Return
Van back to Guatemala City.

• am Today you will be picked up and taken to the airport for your journey home.

Additional Information:

• The cost of this tour is $449.00 p/p based on a minimum of two people traveling together, staying in the same room. Adding a third or fourth person to your group will cost $299 each. Further discounts are available for larger groups.
• You will not be in one group throughout the trip, but others might join you on individual tours of say Tikal or Lake Atitlan, plus transport is shared.
• An extra night can be added at the beginning of this tour when beginning from Guatemala City.
• This tour can be reconfigured backwards (ie. go to Antigua, Chichicastenango and Lake Atitlan first before Tikal) when wanting to leave from either Guatemala City or San Cristobal de las Casas in Mexico. Please ask for details.
• You can start your trip whenever you want, but as market day in Chichicastenango is on a Thursday or Sunday your itinerary may vary according to your dates.
